The 16-piece Los Angeles-based collective The Urban Renewal Project returns to The Dope Show with the video for their energetic new single “Shake Those Hips.”
In the video, the full band is present and full of energy, in a dance party meets pep rally setting that’s guaranteed to get any crowd moving.
On the song, rap artists Slim da Reazon, Elmer Demond and Dustin Morgan add high-vibe rhymes to the instrumental constructed by bandleader R.W. Enoch while Alex Nester lends soulful, funky vocals to the live, jazz-funk sound.
“Shake Those Hips” is the leading single from The Urban Renewal Project’s forthcoming EP, Love Glory Duty Death, due out later this year.
