Tropical indie alt/pop band The Hip Abduction presents their latest sounds “Come On Get Up” produced by Kenny Carkeet (formerly of AWOLNATION).
On the song, the six-piece St. Petersburg, FL-based collective constructs an impressive tune that’s laid-back and laced with alternative reggae vibes.
Lead vocalist David New explaining the song concept:
“At some point in life, there’s a good chance you will get your heart broken and or break the heart of someone you love. Either way, the after effects can tear you down to your core. This song is about going thru that. The song is a wish for both sides. The process of turning grief into catharsis by returning to the earth to find yourself.”
