Detroit native and Slum Village member Young RJ releases his anticipated debut album, Blaq Royalty, that holds dope features from Boldy James, Pete Rock, Statik Selektah, and Joyner Lucas to name a few.
The 12-track album presents a classic “Detroit Slum sound” approach, but still gives us modern and radio-friendly joints like “Issues” (BJ the Chicago Kid), “Wait” (Pete Rock/Boldy James) and the popular “Motion” (Joyner Lucas, Statik Selektah and Earlly Mac).
Young RJ speaking on his debut:
“It is written ‘Change is the only true constant.’ My debut album, Blaq Royalty, reflects change and growth for me musically.”
