Nigerian soul singer/songwriter Maka beautifully covers Jay Z‘s controversial track “The Story of O.J” track off his recently-released 4:44 album.

On Maka’s rendition, she titles it “Boxed In” and talks about black pride and the need to change the usual narrative of the way her people are being viewed around the world.

She also encourages every person, male or female, creative or not, to use every unique talent or gift bestowed on them as a means to positively impact their immediate societies.
